IT has been known for alpacas and llamas to be spotted in Saddleworth.
Reindeers though are not quite as widespread – at least not until two were spotted by visitors at Dovestone Holiday Park’s recent winter wonderland weekend.
With Father Christmas and a couple of elves also in attendance, the appearance of Rocky and Carly created a festive atmosphere for guests staying in the Greenfield beauty spot.
While the reindeer grazed in their new surrounds, Santa turned a holiday park accommodation glamping pod into a home-from-home grotto, much to the delight of excited children.
Greenfield youngster Boaz Pollard was among the first to tell Santa what is on his Christmas wish list.
Delph Youth Band entertained guests with seasonal tunes. Only the absence of snow prevented proceedings from having a totally authentic winter feeling.
