Lining the new store from floor to ceiling is an eye-catching, stylish array of footwear, all designed by Charlotte Mills, 29, from Springhead.

The bridal collection is elegant with attention to detail and a quirky twist as each left shoe includes an original silver sixpence to bring you luck on your special day.

And for every other occasion Charlotte’s new range offers plenty of colours and designs so you can find the perfect match for your outfit.

The wedding shoe designer has taken the industry by storm since launching her business from home just 18 months ago and she now has more than 40 stockists worldwide.

Charlotte, from Springhead, also designs footwear ranges for many of the UK’s best-known high street brands, and has been part of glittering shows in London and New York.

But she returned to her roots in Saddleworth to launch her special occasion collection at her first shop, at St Mary’s Gate off Uppermill High Street.

After four months of renovation and decorating, the boutique was unveiled in early March and will be run by Charlotte and staff member Sophie Bowland, 22.

Charlotte said: “It is amazing to finally open my first store and welcome everyone in to share the new collection.

“We were so lucky to get this great spot, which we found with help from Oldham Business Leadership Group’s Enterprise Fund before it even went on the market.

“Thank you to every one who has helped and supported us so far and we welcome both loyal and new customers to come and see our new boutique.”

Charlotte Mills boutique is open on Monday to Friday from 9am-4pm and on Saturday by appointment. Find out more online: www.charlottemillsbridal.com
