SHOPPERS ENJOYED a trip to Tesco with a difference as staff provided a cinematic treat at the Huddersfield Road store.
The Tesco Extra transformed its car park into an American style drive-in cinema for just one night only to put on a special screening of Bridget Jones’s Baby.

Locals braved the rain to enjoy the romantic comedy, staring Renée Zellweger, Colin Firth and Hugh Grant, on a 40ft inflatable screen from the comfort of their own cars.
And to complete the cinema experience, store colleagues handed out free popcorn, chocolate and soft drinks to everyone who attended.
Andrew Brown, store manager, said: “This is the first time we have ever done anything like this and it was such a fantastic night!
“The event took place on the upper level carpark which lends itself surprisingly well as a drive-in cinema.
“We would like to thank customers who braved the miserable weather to join us to watch the film and we hope they enjoyed the treats that were handed out.”
The free event was a first for the Tesco Extra store and was put on as a thank you to customers for their continued support.
