A SOULFUL seven-piece band will raise the roof at the Civic Hall in Uppermill at a charity fundraiser on Saturday, November 29 at 7pm.
Technique Soul and Motown Band will perform in aid of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, which provides specialist palliative care for adults with non-curable and life-threatening illnesses.
The band will be joined by top Motown / Northern Soul DJ Carl H Spiers, and there will be a grand raffle to raise funds and a licensed bar.
A similar event proved a great success last year and now the band has decided to turn it into an annual date on their calendar to continue their support for the Hospice.
Technique band member Mel Brierley: ““All of us in the band are looking forward to this event and we are hoping the night will be as equally successful as last year.”
Tickets costing £10 are available from Uppermill Post Office now.
