More than 17 local photographers have been displaying their best personal work since December 2016.

Now, from April 4, the display has been refreshed with images showing what they have learnt from fellow photographers and their own personal improvements.

Over 40 images are on display, with a wide range of interests from exotic travel, abstracts, people studies to local scenes.

The Saddleworth Photography Group welcomed visitors on the opening night with an interactive photography challenge to also show off the skills of talented members.

Jude Gidney, a professional photographer and Saddleworth Photography Group leader, said: “It’s wonderful to see the members growing in their enthusiasm and confidence.

“They really seem to enjoy sharing and interacting with others in the group.

“The fortnightly practical challenges give members a focus to work towards, and there will be results from these displayed at the Civic Hall.”

The Saddleworth Photography Group has been operational for two years and has nearly 200 members. Find out more on Facebook /SaddleworthPhotographyGroup
