A SPRING clean will see the eye-catching exhibition Saddleworth Photography Group’s Exhibition refreshed at the Civic Hall in April.
The exhibition, which represents local professional and amateur photographers, is hosted by the Saddleworth Parish Council on the walls of the Hall in Uppermill.
More than 17 local photographers have been displaying their best personal work since December 2016.
Now, from April 4, the display will be refreshed with images showing what they have learnt from fellow photographers and their own personal improvements.
Over 40 images are on display, with a wide range of interests from exotic travel, abstracts, people studies to local scenes.
The Saddleworth Photography Group is welcoming visitors to the new exhibition, with a special Open Session on Tuesday, April 4 from 4-6pm.
The group will be undertaking a special photography challenge on the night that will be interactive for visitors and shows off the skills of talented members.
Jude Gidney, a professional photographer and Saddleworth Photography Group leader, said: “It’s wonderful to see the members growing in their enthusiasm and confidence.
“They really seem to enjoy sharing and interacting with others in the group. The fortnightly practical challenges give members a focus to work towards, and there will be results from these displayed at the Civic Hall.
“It’ll also be interesting to see them working together on the special photography challenge I am setting them on the evening.”
The Saddleworth Photography Group has been operational for two years and has nearly 200 members. Find out more on Facebook /SaddleworthPhotographyGroup
