ENJOY a glittering night out as Strictly Kershaw’s returns to the Queen Elizabeth Hall on Friday, October 20.
This year’s fundraising event in aid of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice is set to be the best yet, including a host of celebrity guests and amazing prizes.
The evening will be hosted by actresses Nicola Stephenson and Judith Barker, who have recently performed in ‘Stepping Out’ in the West End, a story about a group of amateur tap dancers.
VIP tickets will allow guests to meet and greet the celebrity hosts and enjoy a champagne reception in the Mayor’s Parlour from 6pm.
Later in the evening, six prominent members of the community will take to the floor for the Strictly Kershaw’s dance competition.
They have been working with Sean and Carole Madden from Madd for Dance again and have been busy rehearsing since June.
The participants are Jean Stretton (Leader of Oldham Council), Conor Marlin (looks after the players for Oldham Athletic), Chris Hamilton (Manager of Oldham Rugby Club), Nathan Murgatroyd (Mascot for Oldham Rugby Club,) Janet Beachill (works for Costco), and Andrew Donnelly (works for Spectrum Brands).
This year’s judges are Mandy Thompson and Tony Birchall, who are European Latin Champions, along with Gill Bussey and Dave Thompson who are stalwart supporters of the Hospice.
With a chance to rate the dancers, a raffle and an auction, guests will be entertained throughout the entire evening.
Strictly Kershaw’s will be held at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on Friday, October 20, starting at 7pm. Tickets cost £35, including a two-course dinner and cheeseboard. There are also a limited number of VIP tickets costing £45.
