BRIDES can step out in style on their big day thanks to a talented shoe designer based in Uppermill.
Charlotte Mills offers a selection of bridal and fashion shoes, with each pair lovingly designed in her Saddleworth studio and then handmade in Spain.
The factory Charlotte has selected to work with has been making shoes for over 50 years, which is evident in the attention to detail and quality of their finished products.
Since launching in 2014, Charlotte Mills’ brand has grown from strength to strength and is now stocked in over 30 boutiques in the UK, Europe, USA and Australia.
After launching her first collection of fashion shoes in 2016 on the catwalk at London Fashion Week the brand has been featured in top magazines such as Marie Claire and Elle to name a few.
Her designs are also becoming firm favorites with celebrities such as Fearne Cotton, Pixie Lott and Louisa Johnson.
And the bridal side of the business is also booming as this is such a niche area.
Brides love the special touches to Charlotte’s designs, especially the Silver Sixpence which is embedded into the sock of the shoes.
The leather sole is embossed with the phrase ‘Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe’.
Charlotte said: “Brides love this idea and it is unique to Charlotte Mills Shoes. All bases are covered.
“The sixpence is also the something old, the something new is the shoe, the something blue is detailed on the insock and the something borrowed will be inside the shoebox.”
Charlotte hopes each bride will fall in love with their wedding shoes and they will be a keepsake of their special day to treasure forever.
