Successful O’Donnell solicitors open new flagship head office

DOUBLE award-winning O’Donnell Solicitors have expanded into a new head office in Grasscroft just 18 months after launching.

The firm completed their move to Appleby’s Business Centre, on Oldham Road, last month to give them a larger, more accessible open plan space.

After two months of renovations by Springhead contractors 9.8 Construction, the firm is delighted with the results.

James O’Donnell, director, said: “We chose the new building given its unrivalled space, parking facilities and the blank internal canvas to create a working environment suitable for us and our clients.

“With client parking to the rear, and spacious and modern facilities the new premises have received high praise from our staff and clients already.”

In addition to the staff working space, new shower and changing facilities have been installed as part of the firm’s strategy to encourage participation in sport and exercise to encourage a happy, healthy and active work force.

James and director Anthony Jones together with Trainee Solicitor, Suzzanne Gardener recently took part in the gruelling Tour of Tameside, a four-day extreme running event, quickly followed by the Mossley 10k (of which O’Donnell Solicitors are main sponsors) to raise money for the new Maggie’s Oldham cancer centre.

Rebecca, who is based at the firm’s second office in Uppermill Square, was project manager for the renovation, assisted by the firm’s accounts manager, Christopher Lowe.

She said: “The move had to be seamless. We closed the Lees office on a Tuesday as usual at 5pm, then spent a very busy evening getting the final details completed at Grasscroft, enabling us to open as usual on Wednesday.

“The Lees office is now closed but the Uppermill office will remain open along with the Grasscroft office, and the firm continues to offer home and place of business visits where required.”
