DENSHAW’S Oscar Schofield returned from America triumphant in the world championships for biathle and triathle.
The 12-year-old, who was competing for Pentathlon GB, won three gold medals at St Petersburg, Florida.
Oscar, competing in the Under-13 category, was victorious in the team and mixed relay at triathle and the team biathle.
He was also fourth in the individual biathle, when he was the first British and European boy home, and seventh in the individual triathle.
Mum Claire said Oscar was pleased with his performance.
Oscar, this summer, won three medals on his international debut for Great Britain at the European Biathle Championships in Madeira.
He helped Team GB win team gold in the U13s while he was third in the individual and runner-up in the mixed relay with Francesca Middleton.
Those successes earned Oscar qualification for the world biathle championships in Florida.
And he made the world triathle championships after doing well at Salford Quays which hosted the qualifiers.
Oscar, a pupil at Bury Grammar School, is on the England Talent Pathway, but as yet does not qualify for funding.
His parents are looking for sponsorship to help fund Oscar’s costs and they can be contacted by email at email@example.com
