THERE is a treat in store as one of the largest gin emporiums in the world hosts its annual fair – right here in Saddleworth.
The Old Bell Inn at Delph, which broke the Guinness World Record in 2014 for having the most gins commercially available, has 1,300 gins in its extensive collection.
Guests can get a taste of what’s on offer at the Huddersfield Road hostelry’s second Gin Fair on Saturday, July 27 from 12noon till 5.30pm.
Tickets include a welcome gin and tonic, a glass to take home, entry into a prize draw and entrance into the distiller’s room in the restaurant, where samples will be available.
There will be an outside bar, as well as a Gee Gee & T bar outside, outside masterclasses, a pizza oven, a barbecue and DJ with music by Amanda who will entertain with swing and jazz music.
Then the fun continues as the After Party starts at 5.30pm, when local band Recreation, who play indie pop and a few covers, will be entertaining as the drinks keep flowing.
Please note this is a ticketed event at £15 each. Tickets available from The Old Bell Inn on Huddersfield Road, Delph, Saddleworth, OL3 5EG or 01457 870130.
