PEOPLE are urged to book early if they want to experience some of the finest wine and food on offer at Caffe Grande Abaco’s wine tasting evening.
For just £30 per person, the Uppermill bistro will serve four courses of the best in European cuisine as well as experiencing three red wines, three white wines and one sparkling wine.
But be warned, these events – held on the first and second floors of the High Street venue, which can also be hired out for private use – sell out quickly.
All wines are specially picked by sommelier Dominic to complement the food that is on offer at the event on Tuesday, January 29.
And Abaco’s Stefan Grundy, also known as the tall toastmaster, says the quarterly events have proved a popular addition to the calendar.
He said: “These events always sell out in advance and the January one is certain to prove a popular gift idea in the festive period.
“Our Abaci Bar is turned into a comfortable environment for these evenings and everyone will enjoy seasonal European fayre, along with wines hand-picked by Dominic to complement the food.
“We’ll be delighted if people can join us for another of our successful evenings.”
The wine evenings, which previously sold out just on the back of small notices being placed around the coffee shop, have become an established part of the calendar.
But expect other events to be introduced as Abaco looks to make use of its extra space now it has four floors.
“The wine tasting events have been going on for a while but we’re looking to put things on more frequently,” Stefan added.
“We’re thinking of putting on some other European-themed evenings, like a French a Spanish, an Italian or a Greek one.”
