ENJOY A great start to the New Year with a superb brass band concert at Uppermill Civic Hall on Saturday, January 10 with proceeds in aid of Help For Heroes.
The ‘All Star Brass’ evening will include guest soloists and players from top bands in the area, including Brighouse and Rastrick, The Fairey Band, Black Dyke and Grimethorpe Colliery.
Musical Director Derek Broadbent will lead the bands while compère for the evening is Gilbert Symes.
Proceeds will go to Help For Heroes, which is the chosen charity by organisers Gilbert Symes and Phil Beckwith for the fourth year running.
Phil said: “There will be a programme of excellent, popular music and we hope people come and support our efforts to raise funds, especially as we remember all who fell or suffered in the name of peace since the Great War of 1914 to the present day.”

The concert starts at 8pm on Saturday, January 10 at the Civic Hall in Uppermill.
