A SENIOR Care company with offices in Saddleworth has topped the league table of home care providers for the elderly in their own homes in England.
Home Instead ranked first in the latest quarterly table complied by healthcare information specialist Laing and Buisson.
The statistics compare more than 8,000 home care branches nationwide according to Care Quality Commission’s performance.
Home Instead, which has 150 branches nationwide, came in lead position with 97 per cent compliance with core standards including care, safeguarding, staffing, management and respect for clients.
Mick Sheehan, managing director of the Saddleworth and Oldham branch which opened in 2009, commented: “It’s credit to the hard work and dedication of our wonderful caregivers and the support of our passionate management team that keeps us at the number one spot.”
Delighted Chief Executive of Home Instead, Trevor Brocklebank added: “I am immensely proud to hear these results.
“We are totally focused on providing top quality care for older people tailored to the needs of individuals and which allows them to remain in their own homes.
“What these results confirm is that our teams across the country are doing great work and it is gratifying to see this recognised by a leading industry organisation.
“I would like to thank each and every one of our caregivers for the work they do – we could not have achieved this result without them.”
Home Instead offers tailored services for older people seven days a week including companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, shopping and errands.
