A HUSBAND and wife team are fulfilling a life-long dream by opening their own solicitors practice in Lees.

James and Rebecca O’Donnell have recently opened their doors at the old NatWest building to welcome clients to O’Donnell Solicitors, a straight-talking and holistic firm.
The company is the realisation of the vision they both share of offering clear, cost-effective legal advice in a friendly and modern environment.
And with 18 years’ combined experience working at the top of their disciplines James and Rebecca, who live in Mossley with their two young sons, offer a wealth of expertise to both existing and new clients.
“James and I recognise that clients, whether businesses or individuals, need reassurance ‘from the off’ and that is what we aim to deliver in a straight talking manner,” explained Rebecca.
“We take a holistic approach to each new matter and aim to establish trusting and lasting relationships with our clients.”
James added: “We are truly excited at the prospect of welcoming clients old and new and to continue nurturing our strong relationships with local businesses, clubs and individuals.
“We want to offer our clients a clean, modern and welcoming environment which reflects both the quality of the advice and also represents our client focused ethos.
“We are keen to get to know our clients and tailor advice to their particular circumstances. We are straight talking and that has no doubt influenced our expanding client base.”
Lawyer James, 35, who studied in his home city of Manchester, specialises in Commercial, Employment and Property law, Litigation and debt collection.
He also covers Corporate work, involving business sales and purchases and merger and acquisition work, as well as Dispute Resolution with a business or commercial angle.
Rebecca, 33, who attended Leeds University, specialises in Wills and Probate, Power of Attorney and Landlord and Tenant disputes, and works closely with independent financial advisors.
She is highly regarded by carers and care homes locally for her work with the elderly, including preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney or Wills, and with relatives wishing to apply to the Court of Protection.
Both do an enormous amount of property work, particularly residential conveyancing, and are keen to share this with locals, including through their regular website property blogs.
