A FABULOUS wedding shoe designer whose products are sold around the world is opening her first store in Uppermill this month as she branches out with a new special occasion collection.
Charlotte Mills launched her bridal footwear business from home 18 months ago while also holding down a job as a design manager to pursue her passions after graduating from Cordwainers.
Since then, the company has flourished and now has more than 40 stockists in the UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Australia, USA, Canada and Japan.
Charlotte, from Springhead, also designs footwear ranges for many of the UK’s best-known high street brands, and has been part of glittering shows in London and New York.
In 2015, she was named ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the Oldham Business Awards, and has seen her business’s turn over increase by 50 per cent in the last 12 months.
And the ambitious designer has even more plans to expand as she is branching out from bridal to launch a new collection at her first store in Uppermill this February.
Charlotte said: “It’s amazing how much has happened since last year and it’s great to see all the hard work paying off.
“I’m so excited to open my first store in Uppermill and bring a brand new collection to Saddleworth shoppers.”
