Unique Movembeerfest raises £1,300 for good causes

MOUSTACHES AND brews galore were enjoyed as a unique beer festival fundraiser organised by the Saddleworth Round Table raised £1,315 for good causes.

Movembeerfest at the White Hart, Lydgate offered around 18 beers including Jaipur from Thornbridge Brewery, Thirst Born from Greenfield Brewery, Yorkshire Blonde from Ossett Brewery and Pint from Manchester Marble Brewery.

And there were ‘taches of all shapes and sizes on display – with the quirky drinks menu offering suggestions for the best brew to pair with each.

There was also top live entertainment and hot food at the event, which was sponsored by The White Hart, Northwood and Grasscroft Property.

Event organiser Emery Burbidge commented: “The event went well and people had a good time.

“We’re now looking forward to our Spring beer festival and will be confirming dates soon.”

Proceeds from the beer festival will go to local charities and the Round Table’s future community events, including a Winter Wonderland in Uppermill and a Christmas dinner for the elderly.
