THE 2014 World Cup provides a vibrant and colourful theme for the popular Saddleworth Show 2014, which will take place Saturday, 12 and Sunday, 13 July.
The Rotary Club, who organise the event, hope the World Cup theme will help build on the success and enjoyment of the 2013 show to help them raise much needed-funds for local charities.
Events and attractions such as a football tournament, Circus Sensible, Fun Fair and Childrens Rides, bring the fun and excitement of the World Cup together with the ‘carnival’ that is Rio de Janeiro.
In its second year at Saddleworth School, the 2013 show saw record numbers of locals turn up to show their support for the show and the ‘goal’ of the Rotary Club is to make it even bigger and better in 2014.
The event, sponsored by the Oldham Chronicle, offers something for everyone and is not to be missed.
Tickets will be priced at £10 for a family ticket, £4 for adults, £3 for seniors and £2 for children. All proceeds will be donated to local and Rotary charities.
Any local businesses, charities, craft people or organisations are welcome to hire a stall for the weekend, as are individuals who would like to sponsor the show or any of the attractions.
The show will run from noon to 5pm on Saturday, July 12 and from 10am to 5pm on Sunday, July 13.
