DURING THE next two months there are lots of things that can change our routines and sabotage our good intentions to lead a healthier lifestyle – for example kids off school, holidays and summer socialising.

However, it can also be a great opportunity to put into place some positive routines, like becoming more active.
Would you like your clothes to fit better, would you like more energy during the day and to sleep better at night? If the answer is yes then becoming more active will give you all those things if you combine it with healthy eating.
As I write this I’m preparing for a charity fashion show were all the models are members of Weight Watchers having lost weight varying from 21lbs to 14 stone and seeing the changes this has made to their lives has certainly reminded me how important a healthy lifestyle is.
Don’t let this summer be an excuse to get into bad habits – think of it more of an opportunity to create some lasting new routines like becoming more active or making some smart food swaps.
You can still have a treat and be healthy. Why not try out the Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream below (serves 4, takes 10 mins to prepare, 4 Pro Points per serve).
- Crush 300grms of strawberries (hulled and chopped) with a fork until roughly mashed and set aside.
- Beat together until smooth 250grms WW Greek Style natural yoghurt, 200grms low fat soft cheese, 3tsps vanilla extract and 25grms castor sugar.
- Fold in the strawberries. Pour into a container and place in the freezer. Every 2 hours remove and whizz in a blender, returning to the freezer each time until it is completely frozen.
- Remove and then stir in 4 WW Oat Digestive Biscuits, return to freezer until frozen then serve. Delicious!
