FROM SUNNY climates to frosty winter wonderlands, the Saddleworth Independent’s readers take the popular paper all over the globe.
And Angela Bingley always makes sure to get her mother, Saddleworth Parish Councillor Mavis Bingley, to send the latest copy to her in snowy and cold Fairbanksin Alaska.
Angela moved there just before marrying husband Keith Rosebeary in December 2009 in a small chapel at Pioneer Park – and still lives there almost five years on.
And this picture, Angela catches up on news about where she grew up as she enjoys a winter trip to Chena Hot Springs Resort, where temperatures dip below -40F.
She said: “I love seeing pictures of the villages and especially Uppermill, where I went to school.
“I was very sorry to learn that Saddleworth School is no longer fit for purpose and that there’s been so much controversy about what to do. Three generations of my family have been taught there so I really hope things move forward very soon.”
If you have a picture to share with our thousands of readers, send it in high-res, j-peg format.
