FROM NEARBY visits to distant shores, loyal Saddleworth Independent readers remember to take the paper with them wherever they go.
And Marjorie Lord made sure to take her copy on a trip to the other side of the world with husband Trevor for six weeks over Christmas and New Year.
She said: “Of course, we took the Independent with us.
“These two photos show me on our beachside terrace at The Outrigger on the Lagoon resort in Fiji and then in front of Bruce Lee’s statue on The Avenue of the Stars on the waterfront in Hong Kong.
“You can clearly see the difference in the weather but having said that Hong Kong on January 12 was still (at 13 degrees) much warmer than here!”
