WHISKYS FROM around the world will be available to sample at a mouth-watering tasting event in aid of Oldham Mountain Rescue Team on Saturday, October 4.
The Amateur Dram Society is hosting the event at Diggle Band Club in support of the OMRT, who celebrate their 50th anniversary this year.
Guests can try nine whiskys from around the world and enjoy a pie and peas supper courtesy of the Little Saddleworth Pie Company.
Nick Watts, Amateur Dram society member and event organiser, said; “Whether you’re a whisky novice or fancy yourself as a connoisseur, everyone is welcome to attend and raise money for such a fantastic cause.”
Tickets are available for £23 to participate in the whisky tasting or £8.50 as a non-whisky option and the event will also include a charity raffle and auction take place.
Denzil Broadhurst, from OMRT, said: “We’re delighted the local society is raising money for us as we rely on donations in order to continue our important work in the community.”
