A SPECTACULAR Beer and Music Festival will raise the roof at a popular Lydgate pub to help locals celebrate Whit Weekend in style this month.
The Festival at the White Hart will run from Thursday, June 12 to Sunday, 15 – adding three extra days of entertainment and fun to the annual Whit Walk festivities on Friday 13.
On the three days there will be 20 live bands playing. In the pub’s Oak Room, the bands will The Tony Auton Band, State of Quo, Idol Frets, KylaBrox and Rockabilly Fever.
There will also be an Acoustic Set in the pub’s Brasserie over the weekend with free entry, with entertainment including Tom Attah, Victoria Goodwin and Michael Parker.
In addition, there will be more than 50 casks ales on sale for guests to enjoy.
And as usual, Whit Friday will see up to 75 brass bands taking part in the annual contest in the pub’s grounds, with free entry as always.
Entrance tickets for the festival cost just £20 in advance for the three days – including a Hog Roast sandwich on Thursday.
Tickets just for Thursday cost £4.50 in advance or £5.50 on the door from 6pm, while Saturday (£15) and Sunday (£10) tickets are on the door only from 12noon.
