AS THE centenary of the Women’s Institute is marked in 2015, the Saddleworth branch has several events planned throughout the year to celebrate.
On Easter Monday, The Mikron Theatre at The Swan,Dobcross performed ‘Raising Agents’, a very funny, touching play about ‘Bunnington’ WI interwoven with information about the last 100 years of the WI.

The group sends a big thank you to Muse Uppermill, TOAST Delph, The Nail Lounge Uppermill, Re:Therapies, Saddleworth Players, Lisa Butterworth Reiki Master, The Backstep Boogie Club and Greenfield Brewery for donating raffle prizes.
Next on the calendar is a delicious afternoon tea at the Civic Hall Uppermill in September to celebrate 100 years of the WI and commemorate WW1. More details to follow.
