GREENFIELD cricketer Will Jackson has enjoyed a successful debut season playing for Lancashire U10s.
The 10-year-old from Grasscroft, who opens the batting, has scored two half centuries.
Will’s top score was 69 on his debut against Cheshire and later he hit 56 not out against Cornwall in the Taunton Festival where Lancs lost in the final to Berkshire.
Will, who has been playing at Greenfield since the age of eight, is joined in the Lancs team by three other Saddleworth-based players, Luca Pemberton, Elliot Lawrence and Adam Anjum along with Hulme Grammar’s Rian Maisuria.
The four Saddleworth players have helped the Oldham U11 district team reach the final of the Lancashire Cup.
Paul Connolly has coached the district team to back-to-back county finals and helped youngsters progress to county level.
