A launch event will kick off the commemorative activities on June 14 and will include speakers, a market stall place and opportunities to research your own World War One histories.
The event will take place in Oldham Library between 1pm and 4pm. (Oldham Gallery, Oldham Cultural Quarter, Greaves Street, Oldham OL1 1AL).
And as part of the local authority’s commitment to honouring the contribution Oldham people made to the war effort they will soon launch a new website – www.oldhamremembers.org.uk
