SUBLIME racy and seriously eye-catching cars of all kinds are rolling back into Uppermill next month.
The American Auto Club NW is returning for its 12th charity car show at the King George V Playing Fields on Sunday, August 4.
The event is supported by Saddleworth Round Table, who, in keeping with recent tradition, will host a beer tent serving real ale supplied by Donkeystone Brewery and a selection of soft drinks.
Organisers say the event is going from strength to strength with the best classic and some modern American motors and trucks on display from 10am until 5pm.
All cars pay a small donation to exhibit, however the event is free to enter for the public.
Last year the event raised £600, which was donated to Oldham Mountain Rescue Team, and this year the car club and Saddleworth Round Table will share the money between OMRT and one other local worthy cause still up for grabs.
Andy Rothwell, Saddleworth Round Table Chairman, said: “The car show falls a week before ‘Yanks are Back in Saddleworth’ weekend.
“What better way to get into the spirit of Yanks by having a wander around the park checking out the magnificent American motors on show?
“It will be a great day out for young and old alike.”
