AUDREY Lee spent nearly two decades as secretary of Ebenezer Congregational Church, writes Sarah Wilkinson.
Now she has been ordained and inducted as new minister for the church on School Street, Uppermill.

This celebratory service took place on Saturday, July 21 to mark a new beginning for Greenfield-based Audrey and her congregation.
More than 70 people, including family, friends plus Saddleworth Parish Council vice chair Cllr Paul Fryer, attended the ordination ceremony.
A member of Ebenezer Church for 22 years and secretary until only recently, it certainly holds a special place in Audrey’s heart.
She recalls attending a service nine years ago which proved a pivotal turning point in her calling.
Thinking ‘I could do this differently’ inspired her to qualify with a degree in practical theology.
Audrey, whose husband Graham is also a church member, now hopes to take a more proactive approach to increase community involvement as a whole.
“I am looking to include an eclectic range of activities such as meditation and spiritual groups,” she explained.
“But also I want to ensure my pastoral duties are carried out while encompassing the community spirit of the congregational church in addition to leading them spiritually.
“I am enthusiastic, driven and excited to start this new chapter in my life.”
