TWO budding photographers were put in front of the camera for their own special photoshoot after being picked as winners of a competition.

Alfie Bundy, 9 and Faye Beaumont, 9, took on a six-week photo challenge run by Diggle photographer Bev Ridyard to help children battle boredom over the summer holidays.
Bev, who runs Inspired By Joseph photography, was impressed by all the entries but said Alfie, from Delph, and Faye, from Moorside, really stood out.
“My aim was to see some great artistic talent in the local area and both Alfie and Faye outshone all other entrants,” she explained.
“Submitting five out of six possible photos, their enthusiasm and energy was palpable. I really saw an improvement week on week!”
For each of the six weeks there was a theme provided by mum-of-two Bev for children to interpret and send in their photos.
Both winners received a complimentary photo shoot with their family and a few hints and tips from Bev on how to continue to improve their photography.
Alfie said: “I really enjoyed the challenge and trying to think of different ways to interpret the task in an interesting way.”

Faye added: “This summer challenge was amazing. I have learnt to take photos from different angles, use different filters and move with the camera.”
Bev was keen for the challenge to give parents something extra to offer children during those “I’m bored!” moments.
Leanne, Faye’s mum, said: “Faye really enjoyed the challenge and focus.”
Bev has built up an incredible album herself of 1,250 family photos after taking one photograph every day since she found out she was having her first son, Joseph, in 2014.
She said: “My passion is to experience, share and record happiness through the art of photography. It’s more than just taking photos, you must showcase them to the world.”
