NEW PLAYERS are being sought to bolster the squad of the long established and thriving Saddleworth Badminton Club.
Up to six players aged 16-30 will be recruited to take the club up to its membership limit.
In particular the club is looking for players who have played regularly or competitively to a reasonable standard and have either moved into the area or wish to resume playing after a break.
They boast two teams in the Oldham and Rochdale league – the A team in Division 1 and the B team in Division 2.
The club can also accommodate ‘social’ players who are not seeking to play competitive badminton.
They practice at the Sports Hall of Saddleworth School in Uppermill, using high quality feather shuttlecocks of international match standard, on Wednesday evenings from 8pm-10pm during term times.
Members can be registered to play in the local league, which is included within the cost of the membership.

Arrangements can be made for you to come down for a taster night for just a small fee of £5 per person to cover costs. If you choose to join Saddleworth Badminton Club, this charge will be deducted from the membership fee.
As a mid-season incentive we are offering a discounted membership fee of £65, which is valid until July 2014.
