DELPH BOXER Andy Kremner has teamed up with former British and European champion John Murray.

And the 21-year-old rookie professional, who was formerly with Bob Shannon’s stable, is hoping Murray can guide him to the top of his sport.

Andy, who works as an operational support officer with Greater Manchester Police, said: “John is still a professional boxer so his ideas are fresh.

“He has boxed on the biggest stages such as New York’s Madison Square Garden and the MGM Grand in Las Vegas as well as winning British and European belts.

Andy said: “John is still currently a professional boxer so his ideas are fresh. He has boxed on the biggest stages such as Madison Square Gardens, MGM Grand in Las Vegas as well as winning British and European belts..

“John also challenged for the world title against Brandon Rios, who last fought Manny Pacquiao, just coming up short.

“Also with John having a small stable it means I get more one to one work.”

Murray’s gym is in Failsworth and he has two professionals under his watch, his younger brother Joe and Andy.

Andy has also been to Leeds sparring and for boxing manager Michael Marsden to have a look at him.

He said: “I have been sparring with Michael’s other professionals and have verbally agreed to sign a three- year contract with him subject to my medical. Both John and brother Joe, a former Olympian, are signed with Michael.”
