GREENFIELD again hosts the 25th annual northern stock car reunion on Saturday, March 3.
The event, organised by the northern committee of the Veterans’ Stock Car Association, takes place at Boarshurst Band Club at 8pm and attracts people from all over the North West and further afield.
It is a long-established date on the national veterans’ stock car racing social calendar.
All drivers past and present, their families, friends, mechanics, helpers, supporters and track officials are welcome to attend to help make it an even bigger and better event.
Keith Thompson, VSCA northern committee member, said: “All our previous reunions have been very well supported and the event is now advertised from Workington down to Stoke-on-Trent and from Blackpool across to South Yorkshire.
“Most of the sport’s top northern stars have attended at some time or other. It’s a chance to renew old acquaintances in the friendliest of atmospheres, watch some of professional cameraman Ray Liddy’s archive film which goes back to the 1970s and generally have a good night out. And it’s free!”
