A BREATH-TAKING range of birds of prey will land at Standedge Tunnel and Visitor Centre on Saturday 6 June.

Visitors at the popular event, hosted by The Canal and River Trust, will be able to experience the birds first-hand with a static display from Thirsk Birds of Prey Centre between 11am and 4pm.
They will also be treated to flying demonstrations at 12.30pm and 3pm.
Claire Atkinson, duty managerStandedge Tunnel and Visitor Centre, said: “There is always a great atmosphere at our Falconry Day, which is why we keep bringing it back.
“The keepers are so knowledgeable and even allow visitors to handle the birds while posing for photos.”
The Canal and River Explorers team will also be at the visitor centre throughout the day for free face painting.
