SWEET MUSIC, a brilliant atmosphere and good times filled the village as the annual Diggle Blues Festival returned for its sixth year.
The critically-acclaimed festival gathered hundreds of revelers from near and far to various venues across the village.

The free event, organized by Dave Wood, gives generous public donations to a variety of charities and with money still coming in the total proceeds look to be up from last year.
Dave said: “The festival went very well, it was very successful.
“One of the acts Soft Shoe Sam had his picture taken next to the Sam Road sign and jokingly claimed he played so well that they named a street after him.”
Other acts playing this year included Yes Sir!, Ged Wilson, Rhythm Zoo, George Shovlin & the Radars, Infidels, Mat Walklate and Paolo Fuschi.
Franny Eubank and his Blues Band, Tipitina and Sinner Boy brought the entertainment to a close.
Then finally the iconic Diggle national anthem at the end sent the revelers home in a feel-good mood.
And Dave said each of the bands played brilliantly and gave the public an amazing weekend to remember.
He added: “The festival was a huge success, the feedback we have had says a lot.
“People came from miles to hear some really cool jeans-in-the-fridge blues music.”
