A MUSICAL reunion concert will bring together Boarshurst Band Club members past and present this month to mark their 165th anniversary.
The Greenfield-based band reached the landmark in December 2014 – making them one of the oldest in the country – and is hosting the reunion on Saturday, March 28 to celebrate.
The event at the Uppermill Civic Hall at 7.30pm is open to all current members, ex members and those that have supported the band through the years.
The band said: “We would love to see as many ex-band members as possible, share old stories and enjoy this milestone in the bands history.
“With a short performance by our fantastic junior and beginners band, followed by a full concert by the Silver band, it will be a great evening of entertainment.
“There is also an additional massed item which we would love to see ex-members of the band join in with.”
Tickets are free for ex-band members, £5 to accompanying guests. To buy tickets please email events@boarshurstband.co.uk or call 01457 875836.
