Boarshurst Silver Band are planning on raising both the roof and their own coffers when they hold their second fundraising comedy night at Greenfield’s Off The Rails Comedy Club in September.
The event at The Royal George pub on Manchester Road will see a star-studded line-up from the comedy world take the stage on Saturday, September in aid of the local band.
Armed with his trademark cheek and uncompromising approach, Blackburn’s Tez Ilyas presents his slick, smart and typically subversive new stand-up show.
As seen on Mock The Week, Live at the BBC, Channel 4’s The Last Legand heard on BBC Radio Four with two series of Tez Talks, Tez is currently starring in BBC Three’s Man Like Mobeen
Also entertaining will be Kai Humphries, a happy-go-lucky, supremely funny and truly loveable Geordie whose trademark is infectious enthusiasm and high-octane delivery of hilarious and delightfully optimistic material.
A self-confessed lad’s lad, his disarmingly friendly delivery holds a few surprises – not least his ability to supplement his cheeky banter with a contrasting intelligence in his material.
Clayton Jones and MC Rob Riley complete the line-up for the evening.
Admission is £15 or £12 in advance online from www.saddleworthcomedy.co.uk or from The Royal George pub. Doors open at 8pm for show at 8.30pm.
