COMEDY FANS are in for a treat as a witty line-up takes to the stage for a fundraiser for St Chad’s School Uppermill on Saturday, October 11.
Hosted by Off the Rails Comedy Club at the Royal George pub in Greenfield, former Chaddertonian Alex Boardman is joined by Andy Askins along with one more act yet to be confirmed and Rob Riley as compere.
Former Chaddertonian Boardman’s ability to seemingly conjure something out of nothing delights any audience, as does his free-flowing style and natural charm.
Andy Askins has an expertly-crafted routine littered with an eclectic mix of offbeat comic songs and parodies covering everything from his many bizarre relationships to an unfortunate mix-up with a Columbian drug baron.
There will also be a bar and raffle, including an Xbox-one, to help raise funds for the Uppermill school at their second annual comedy night.
Doors open at 8pm for an 8.30pm show. Very strong language throughout. All acts subject to change.
