Delph Band

DELPH BAND are on their way to the National Brass Band Championships thanks to the support of local businesses.

The band has had a very busy summer with their usual list of concerts, marches and events to attend.

On top of all of that, they have been raising funds o compete in the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain on Saturday, September 16 in Cheltenham.

Theband have also been working very hard on the set test piece ‘Music of a Legacy’ by Steven Ponsford, which pays tribute to the vast heritage of Salvation Army brass band music.
Boarshurst Band are also competing in the contest and Delph would like to wish them the best of luck.

This strong Saddleworth presence in Cheltenham shows just how much talent there is in the local area.

Taking part in the contest is costly but Delph Band have been lucky enough to receive financial contributions from numerous local businesses and organisations. For this they are very grateful.

The band hope to make their friends, families, supporters, sponsors and fellow Delphers proud!
