Delph Co-op reopens with new look and new services

DELPH is now home to a revamped Co-op store after a six-week refurbishment was completed.

New aisles may catch the eye at the King Street branch but much more has gone in.

For as well as its usual range of products, parcel collection services are to be available through Amazon, along with vitally important access to an ATM which means the community can get cash.

The store will have online home delivery of groceries available through Deliveroo and Co-op’s own online shop – shop.coop.co.uk – with orders picked fresh in the local store and delivered quickly and conveniently in the local community.

A soft plastic recycle unit – where people can return items like crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals, yogurt pots, biscuit wrappers and pet food pouches – is also included in the premises, which reopened on Friday, December 13.

Supporting 12 local jobs and opening between 7am and 10pm daily, the new look has been well received.

Michael Ogden, Co-op’s Delph Store Manager, said: “The whole team is delighted to have had the opportunity to invest in Delph – the store has been totally transformed and has a great new look.

“We pride ourselves on being able to deliver the quality, choice, added services and value, which can be enjoyed by everyone.

“We are looking forward to welcoming our members and customers back into their Co-op, we’re here to conveniently serve and support our community.”
