Diggle Diamonds host spectacular Christmas Party for elderly locals

DIGGLE DIAMONDS hosted a spectacular Christmas Party to bring festive cheer to around 70 elderly villagers.

The annual event at Kilngreen Church Hall saw guests enjoy a delicious Christmas meal with all the trimmings, prepared by The Gate Inn and served by the hard-working committee of nine.

Then there was entertainment from Diggle Band to round off the afternoon.

Recently, the group gave a huge vote of thanks to locals after their support helped to secure much-needed funding from Skipton Building Society Grassroots Giving scheme.

The money will be used to help them continue their activities in the village, including coffee mornings, a Christmas Party and Summer Trip as well as helping with shopping, appointments, and more.

The annual scheme this year awarded 163 donations to help fund development for grassroots organisations across the country, whittled down from 750 applications.
