The 20th Oldham, Uppermill Methodist Scouts put on an exciting variety of crafts, activities, games, stalls and refreshments at the fair at Uppermill Methodist Church.

The group are also getting hands on for the second year of their ScoutPost scheme to deliver Christmas cards around the village bearing their own special stamps.

This year’s stamps have been designed by the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts of 20th Oldham, and they cost just £1 for 4.

Locals can buy ScoutPost stamps and then post their cards at special purple boxes with the ScoutPost 2016 logo in local businesses.

Cards will then be sorted and delivered by Scout volunteers. The last collection will be midday on Tuesday, December 20.

Please note, Scouts can only deliver to Uppermill addresses, and no packages. Cards should be clearly addressed and include the sender’s address on the back, in case they cannot be delivered for some reason.

All profits from the Scouts’ fair and ScoutPost will go to two very worthy causes, the Oldham Mountain Rescue Team and international charity Shelterbox.
