Whatever level you’re at there will be help and advice available, along with talks and events.
There are a series of free talks on Friday mornings – beginning at 10.30am – on how to use genealogical sources. Please Oldham Local Studies and Archives to book your place.
The talks are:
- Researching your World War One military ancestors on 16 January
- Starting Your Family History and Recording It on 23 January
- Civil Registration: How to Use Records of Births, Marriages & Deaths on 30 January
- Using the Census on 6 February
- Before Civil Registration and How to use Parish Registers on 13 February
Meanwhile, Family History advisors are available every Monday and Wednesday from 2-4pm to help with research. Bring along any information you have discovered.
The University of the Third Age Genealogy Group meets on the third Wednesday every month 10.30am-12pm. Everyone is welcome to come along.
