VISITORS AT Dobcross Band Club Coffee Shop in December enjoyed a free raffle with 25 great prizes as they tucked into their cakes and drinks.
The prizes were donated by the coffee shop team, as well as other community members, to show their appreciation for the support given by the community over the past year.
The coffee shop launched last February to help raise funds for the band club and give residents somewhere to relax and meet friends.
Val Hanson, one of the organisers, said: “The December Coffee Shop was another huge success.
“The results of our efforts can now be seen with new curtains and re-upholstered bench seating.”
Dobcross Coffee Shop mornings are held on the first Saturday of every month and guests can enjoy beans on toast, cakes, toast, scones, teacakes and drinks served by volunteers.
