A HIDDEN gem of a garden centre in Dobcross has flourished into the best blooming plant supplier around after decorating two top awarding-winning pubs.

Angela Kenny, 52, set up ‘Old Toll House Cottage Plants and Produce’ in her 1/3 acre back garden on Platt Lane just four years ago.
Her eye-catching hanging baskets, displays and plants have proved a hit across Saddleworth and her clients include Delph and Scouthead villages, businesses and individuals.
Now, her creations for the Old Bell in Delph and the Old Original at Scouthead have helped them scoop first and second ‘Best Blooming Pub’ in ‘Saddleworth in Bloom’ run by the Parish Council.
Delighted Angela said: “Last year I came second and third for the Old Bell and the Old Original but this year I came first and second so I am really proud.
“I run the business from my back garden but it’s tucked away and not a lot of people know about it, even though I’ve been doing it for four years now.
“It is a lot of hard work but I enjoy it. I just need to let more people know where I am and what I can do for them.”
Angela is already hard at work on her next green-fingered project prepping Christmas trees and making holly wreaths for the festive season.
