Four comedians to bring fresh jokes to Greenfield at Comedy Club debuts

FOUR ACTS are taking to the stage for the very first time at Off The Rails Comedy Club in Greenfield on Sunday, October 25.

Paul-Tonkinson
COMEDIAN: Paul Tonkinson

The special show was arranged by promoter Rob Riley who has trawled comedy clubs across the country to find fresh acts so no one has to hear the same joke twice.

Rob said: “The end result is all manner of comedians coming to Greenfield for the very first time.

“Most of them are experienced comics – they just haven’t crossed our radar up until now.”

Headlining the show at the Royal George on Manchester Road is Paul Tonkinson, a familiar face on TV and at Manchester’s Comedy Store.

An excellent mimic, Paul takes audience on hilarious tours of the UK using his observational skills and hysterical accents.

He will be joined by former English Lit teacher Geoff Norcott, who has recently finished supporting Sarah Millican on her tour and also wrote on her recent TV series.

Geoff has may weapons in his comedy armoury and isn’t afraid to break out impressions or even raps it the situation requires it.

Compere for the evening is Canadian emigre John Hastings and guest act is Clarence Frank.

The show will take place at the Royal George on Manchester Road in Greenfield. Admission is £8/£5 NUS and full details are at www.saddleworthcomedy.co.uk or call 07874 152 338.
