AN ENTHUSIASTIC volunteer is being sought to take on the role of secretary for the Greenfield and Grasscroft Residents Association.
The position would suit anyone who fancies a chance of playing a proactive and dynamic role in the community.
It involves representing more than 400 household members and liaising with various bodies, including OMBC and the Saddleworth Parish Council, campaigning on a number of fronts and making a difference to the area.
Whoever is appointed will join an active and supportive team, including help on planning issues and active participation of GGRA’s sub-groups – Street Scene Greenfield, Love Lydgate and our Tree Watch Group.
GGRA chairman Dr Andrew Taylor said: “There will be plenty of people with communication skills in our community for whom this role would fit like a glove.
“If you know someone who’d be excellent in this role, please let them know or if you think you might be the right person for us yourself then please phone 01457-897666 or email comms@ggra.co.uk”.
GGRA’s AGM will be held at the Satellite Centre on Thursday, January 15 when a new appointment will be made.
