ENTHUSIASTIC VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help out at the popular ‘Yanks Are Back In Saddleworth’ extravaganza this summer.

The annual event, which attracted thousands to Uppermill last year, sees the village turn back time to the 1940s to celebrate the making of blockbuster ‘Yanks’ starring Richard Gere.
The event brings a wide selection of entertainment, vehicles and classic cars, historical displays, a funfair, dancing, and much more at Saddleworth School.
There is also a BBMF fly over, entertainment at local pubs, and a military vehicle parade.
This year, the event will be held on August 5-6, and the organising committee is looking for volunteers to help out at the event at Saddleworth School or at the parade.
