A WHOPPING weight loss of 2,530 stone was achieved by Slimming World members across Saddleworth and Oldham during a hugely inspirational 2015.
Now in a New Year why not find a New You by joining one of their groups to be part of a friendly and caring environment using one of the most successful weight loss plans in the UK.
The local Slimming World team has expanded by creating new groups to make sessions available Monday to Saturday across the area to even more people than ever before.
“There really is a huge demand for our groups,” said Niall Thompson, Team Developer for the local groups.
“I’ve been so proud of what all the team has achieved in 2015, and excited that more people are getting involved, resulting in even more first class groups that will help people change their lives.”
This year has already seen the successful launch of the brand new groups in Lees and Derker to help more slimmers achieve their aims.
And now the area is welcoming its newest consultant Zoe, who will run a group on Wednesdays at Oldham Rugby League Football Club, Limeside, at 9.30am and 5.30pm from January 27.
Zoe first joined Slimming World herself after attending a Doctor’s appointment and finding out her weight had crept up and was bordering obese.
Anxious about attending a slimming group on her own, Zoe was spurred on by her daughter, who decided to lose weight and be healthier alongside her.
Zoe said: “I was so worried about how I would feel on my first night, but I needn’t have! I was made to feel so welcome and slotted straight into the group.
With a unique combination of healthy eating and living along with motivating group support, Slimming World offers highly effective lifestyle changes which can be maintained for life.
And with so much choice of real and delicious food – from pasta or curries to roast dinner – there is no need to go hungry.
Zoe, now two stone lighter, added: “It brings me so much joy to know that together my whole family have improved our lives and we have enjoyed every mouthful along the way!”
