Around 40 stallholders filled the hall with a variety of goods including mouth-watering chocolates, sweets and cakes, delicate hand-painted decorations, knitted clothes, and luxurious bath sets.

Jolis Chapeaux displayed an eye-catching array of colourful hats while Sara V Gartside exhibited her hand painted and jewel embellished home accessories and gifts.

Susan and David Haines manned a souvenir stall for the Saddleworth Ladies Lifeboat Guild filled with teddies, tea towels, cards, pens and much more.

And Moonstone Gift Shop and Psychic Venue offered a wide choice of incense cones and sticks, crystals, candles, tarot cards and beautifully wrapped gift selections.

The resulting WI profit of £700 will be donated to their chosen charity for the year, the Oldham Bereavement Support Service.

Saddleworth WI meets on the first Wednesday of each month at the Saddleworth Hotel from 7.30pm. New members and guests are always welcome. There is a voluntary donation of 50p from members and £2 from non-members per meeting.
