QUIZZERS have been getting their thinking caps on for popular ‘Bijou Quiz Nights’ fronted by comedian and singer Chris Britten for well over a decade.
The fun-filled events, previously held at The Waggon Inn, are running stronger than ever on Sunday evenings at Uppermill’s Conservative Club.

The regular format features 36 General Knowledge questions, a Picture Quiz, a Mystery Personality, a Link 3 and bonus joker points with cash prizes.
Each night also includes raffles for a ‘Play your cards right’, with an accumulative jackpot giving everyone a chance to win.
The evening always ends with a ‘bonus question’ which can accrue quite big money, followed by a ‘Just for Fun’ Music Quiz featuring tracks from across the decades.
While many usual suspects turn up each week, new faces are always very welcome.
“As well as being a good-natured and relaxed night out, it’s an evening to make you think,” said regular Quizzer Malcolm Tomlinson from the Fools’ Panel.
Lose or win, the night is worth coming to just to hear Chris himself, who often chips in with snippets from songs and jokes throughout the evening to entertain the punters.
A former Manchester Evening News Comedian of the Year, Chris has years of experience working in theatres, hotels, cruise ships, holiday venues, presentation nights, golf and sports functions.
